Nail polishes from Burberry

My birthday is coming up soon so I decided to purchase 2 nail polishes from Burberry.  Not only are Burberry nail polishes cheaper than those from other brands, but they also have 2 specific colours that I wanted: namely, a nice beige (Nude Beige) and a crimson red (Oxblood).  I must mention that Burberry nail polishes are 0.27 oz as opposed to the standard 0.33 oz, but I have barely made a dent in the nail polish I purchased last year since I don't wear nail polish all the time.  It's shameful, I know xD

I feel that these colours will look very good with my gold ring(s)

Let me know in the comments YOUR favourite nail polish colours or what is on your nail polish wishlist. Mxx

Mac Palette!

My new goodies:

What was on my Mac Shopping List:

Pro Palette large/single and eye shadow x15 insert
It is a hassle to fumble for one of my Mac eye shadows in their individual containers (I have 5).  If I would have brought my brain with me, I would have purchased the palette and eye shadow pans in the first place.  You might wonder if I'll ever fill my Mac palette.  There are certain non-Mac colours that I enjoy using,, and I'm not going to purchase Mac "dupes" just for convenience while traveling.  I feel that I have most colours I would want to use and I can create virtually any look I'd like.  There are some colours that would be a lovely addition, like a striking lilac colour (like Mac parfait amour).  I don't strictly need them in my life, but I'm sure that sooner or later, I will find some unique colours from Mac to spice up my life.

Patina eye shadow
Lovely, classic colour.  I'm expecting this to be a cool-toned, goldenish brown colour.  I've seen a colour like this on The City with Whitney Port and that stayed in my mind!

Copperplate eye shadow
I've often seen a colour just like this on celebrities in music videos and I felt like it was a matte (and darker) version of Satin Taupe.  Seeing this eye shadow in action on a few Youtube videos and some photos was breathtaking!

Brule eye shadow
I was in the Mac store at the Westfield Mall in Shepherd's Bush and I saw a girl who was obviously wearing eye shadow.  However, the eye shadow seemed very nude and it seemed close to her natural skin colour.  She was also wearing red lipstick and had auburn hair in a ponytail if I remember correctly.  She looked angry so I wouldn't have dared ask her what eyeshadow she had on, though I should have done!  Later I asked a Mac makeup artist and she suggested Brule or Vanilla.  I'm going with Brule after seeing it having the effect I want on a Youtube video.

Yogurt eye shadow
It has crossed my mind on a few occasions that it would be great to have a pale pink eye shadow.  I also love matte eye shadows and it is a pet peeve of mine that most eye shadows by any brand are not matte!  So of course I've got to jump on this.

Getting a beautiful Mac palette makes me feel that one day I will travel to Versailles, palette in tow.  Or to a seaside resort in the UK - nothing fancy, mind you, just something simple and utterly enjoyable...palette in tow :-)

Ring from Saint Laurent

Hi girls.  This blog is an honest place.  With that said, I am baring my soul and telling you that I have decided to purchase this ring because a good friend of mine cut off contact with me and somehow I feel that changing something up might make him see fit to talk to me again

With that said, this ring is something that I will enjoy, whether or not it brings my friend back to me.  Jewelry is part of my DNA.  I used to play with my jewelry a lot when I was in a relationship with Rafal.  I gave my jewelry all of my attention and he hated it and would snatch my necklaces out of my hands.  When one day I lost my necklace, he was really happy.

I am quite intrigued by the idea of gold jewelry - gold rings, layered gold bracelets.  I saw this ring (sterling silver coated with 18k gold for those jewelry buffs out there!) on Saint Laurent's website and it took me for a spin with its beauty.  I am going for an elegant, feminine look with my jewelry.  I got it in a size 5 and ordered it from the Greene Street boutique in NYC.
